We’ve been on the lookout for an app that enables everyone (joining worship via Facebook, YouTube, or in-person) to join an online chat and share with each other during worship at Epworth. We explored Altarlive, but discovered that the app is no longer supported. Several churches that had used Altarlive switched to a free app provided by YouVersion (affiliated with Life.Church) called Church Online Platform.
When you click on the button above, it links you to an online app (nothing to download!) that allows you to participate in the chat during worship after creating a login. The link is pretty simple: epworthfaith.online.church.
How might we use it? If you’re participating in worship online, you could simply login to epworthfaith.online.church on a smart phone, tablet, laptop, or desktop and watch (the YouTube livestream is embedded in the app) and chat. Alternatively, you might watch and listen to worship using your smart TV, but login to epworthfaith.online.church on your smart phone to join the chat (muting your smart phone!). And if you’re participating in worship at Eporth in person, you could login to epworthfaith.online.church on your smart phone, mute the volume and join the chat.
At present, the folk with access the livestream via Facebook share in the Facebook chat, a few people who access the livestream via YouTube chat separately on that app, and no one who worships at Epworth in person participate in either chat (except some of us in the AV booth!). Thanks in advance for giving this a try!
