The WBOC broadcast from Sunday evening is at the top of the link below and the AIDS Walk segment starts around 5:00.
The Epworth Sunshine Walkers thank all of you who supported us in AIDS Walk Delaware last Saturday. Our team raised over $2,100 and ranked fourth in fundraising among nearly 4 dozen teams.
We invite you to consider joining us in next year’s Walk! It’s a fun way to get some exercise while catching up with friends and making new ones — and benefiting a cause as important today as it was decades ago.

With the approach of fall comes pumpkins (and pumpkin EVERYTHING), cooler weather, football on TV … and AIDS Walk Delaware. This year’s walk, in its 38th year, will be held in Rehoboth Beach and Wilmington the morning of Saturday, Sept. 21. The Rehoboth walk starts at 10 a.m. at Grove Park with registration beginning at 9 a.m.

Epworth will again sponsor a team in the event, presented by AIDS Delaware and the Delaware HIV Consortium. Funds raised — the goal is $100,000 – support case management services, free HIV testing, housing and transportation services, and HIV-specific mental health counseling, education and prevention programs. More people with HIV are living full, healthy lives than a few decades ago, but the need for education and support remains.

You’re invited to join the Epworth Sunshine Walkers or to support members of our team. You can register for the walk or make a donation to the Epworth team at this link. If you have questions, please contact team captain David Hagelin at dmhagelin@gmail.com or cell # 614-270-7781.
