The Code Purple Women’s Shelter at Luthern Church of Our Savior made headlines earlier in December. Now there is a need for more volunteers to ensure this new ministry endures. If you are interested in serving as a bus driver, guest check-in host, or overnight host, please contact Kathy Connell, the Director at LCOS. New volunteers are alwasy trained in advance and scheduled with veteran volunteers to help you get well-established. LCOS will be hosting the overnight women’s shelter from December to March 15, while St. Jude Parish hosts a men’s shelter during the sme time frame. St. Jude began their ministry to area homeless men last year. Their Director, Mike Agnew, spoke at Epworth in November and could also help new volunteers find meaning and purpose in this life-giving ministry opportunity.
