Email below is from Karen Mann director of the after school program at RBES. Another community partner we made during Covid. First State Community Action and Epworth have fostered a very Close relationship, I am sorry to see them go, but very happy they will serve more children with their services. Thank you for helping them reach children without internet during that stressful time. Mickie

Subject: FSCAA After-School Program

This is confirmation of our conversation earlier today re: the transitioning of the First State Community Action Agency’s After School Program.

Effectively Monday, January 9th, the program transitioned to the Rehoboth Elementary School.

This is something we have been working on for quite a while, in an effort to gain an opportunity to grow the program and provide additional resources to more students.

On behalf of First State Community Action Agency, I would like to say “Thank You”.

These few words are truly not enough, but know that we have been overwhelmingly appreciative of the timespan that Epworth United Methodist Church has granted us the service of utilizing the Branford Room as well as the Lounge.
Not only are we grateful for the use of space, but the hospitality shown to the staff and students.
There has been times of sharing Food Bank supplies when we were not yet recipients of those benefits.
The Boys & Girls Club also invited our students to share the Gym space on several occasions.
These acts of kindness will not go unrewarded.
God hears and sees all and will reward you all for giving.

If we are ever in need of your services again, we will not hesitate to contact you.
We invite you to also do the same of us, if needed.

In regards to Food Bank: I have left a message with Food Bank and await their call, so I will keep you up to speed on that once I have more information.

It has been a pleasure to know you. Let’s stay in touch!
Karen
