AIDS Walk Delaware this year celebrates 35 years of supporting people with HIV/AIDS and providing free testing and education/prevention programs throughout our state. Epworth will again sponsor a team in the event, to be held the morning of Saturday, Sept. 18, starting at Grove Park. A walk also will be held in Wilmington.

You’re invited to join the Epworth Sunshine Walkers team or to support members of our team. It’s a morning of fun and good fellowship for a cause that remains as important as it was three decades ago; thankfully, today more people with HIV are living full, healthy lives because of advances in medicine, and new cases have declined.

This year’s walk aims to raise $90,000 for a variety of HIV service organizations, including AIDS Delaware, Delaware HIV Consortium and CAMP Rehoboth.

If you have questions, please contact team captain David Hagelin at dmhagelin@gmail.com or cell 614-270-7781.
