The First Annual Epworth Craft Show will be held on Saturday, Nov. 22 in Fellowship Hall from 9 AM – 2 PM. Please stop in and check out all the vendors. We will have over 25 vendors selling their crafts. Great way to begin holiday shopping or add to what you already have. We will have local author Tim Linehan there with his latest book, Hanna Gould. A story that takes place in Poland in WWII.
2. Christmas Joy Tree
Every year Epworth adopts families for our Christmas Joy Tree! This year, the need is much greater than previous years. Epworth has partnered with a Cape Henlopen Elementary School. The families were given to us by the school social services worker. The Christmas Joy Tree will go up in the Narthex Sunday, November 16. What we need now are volunteers to help with the behind-the-scenes work. We need volunteers, that pay attention to the details, will ask if they are unsure of request, and have great printing skills to help with the cards for the tree! If you would like to help, email Mickie McManamon or find her at the pastoral care table in the Narthex. Christmas is not far away!
Santa Jerry and Mrs. Claus return to Epworth on Saturday, Dec. 6 for Breakfast with Santa. Breakfast will be $5.00 for children and $10.00 for adults. We will serve breakfast from 9:00-10:30. Santa is trained in American Sign Language.
Great time for holiday fellowship while helping Christmas Joy raise money for Christmas Joy to help to provide Christmas for less fortunate children in the Cape Henlopen school district. We also help provide Scholarships for our preschoolers as needed and other times a need arises.
The Cookie Walk is on Saturday, December 13 from 9:00 AM until we run out. Last year that was about one hour and 30 minutes after we opened our doors. This year we are hoping to have more cookies, so we don’t have to turn away so many people! In prior years Epworth’s Cookie Walk was a premier event let’s continue the tradition.
