As we wrap up our 2021 Covid-19 edition of Turkeyville, we celebrate sharing Thanksgiving boxes filled with good things to eat to 746 of our neighbors! We give thanks for all who were filled and to all who donated food, packed food, and distributed food! 900 pounds of turkey, 250 pounds of potatoes, 160 pounds of sweet potatoes, and about 350 pies. I think we are ready. MANY MANY thanks to everyone that has helped. This community and this church is amazing.
On Thursday, Nov. 18, we distributed over 80 Thanksgiving boxes. On Sunday, Nov. 21, we served 107 guests! We distributed food on Tuesday and Thursday, Thanksgiving Day as well!

On Tuesday, Nov. 16, the Elks Club presented a donation of $2500 to Epworth's food ministry. Bob Joynson, Gerrie Boisjoly, Penny ManLennan, and Reber Whitmer were on hand to receive this wonderful gift.
Then, on Wednesday, two wonderful guys from the Outlets dropped off cases of water bottles and bananas from the recent marathon run so that we could get them to our neighbors (who don't have to run a marathon to get them!).
If you missed them the first time, please see the Hope Floats interviews with Food and Love Ministry Leader Penny MacLennan and Food Intake and Turkeyville Ministry Leader Dotti Outland. Look for interviews with Food Rescue Ministry Leader Gerrie Boisjoly and Good Sam Mobile Food Pantry Ministry Leader Reber Whitmer coming soon.
