A huge thank you to all of you for making Epworth such an inviting place for our Deaf community. I can't tell you how much your "small acts of kindness" make such a profound impact on those with hearing differences. Our Deaf members whether in-person or online have shared how special it was that Rev. Bo showed the video to support Deaf awareness. They were blown away when watching Rev. Vicki sign "Good morning beautiful people". They feel honored when asked to do scripture readings and are welcomed by our "caring" ministers and community. Please also send a thank you to all the others in the tech booth for helping to get Barbara on the screen when she was flooded out on Sunday. Many people came up to me after the service and commented on how powerful it was to see her on the big screen, which made it easier for them to focus on her expressions and signs. Finally, if it were not for Doug, who provides prep materials for the service, I may very well sign like the interpreter in this funny video.
