Birding as a Spiritual Practice (Starnes Room)

For two Saturdays, we will learn about the spiritual qualities of bird-watching. Being quiet and patient, being in nature, watching, listening, seeing.

September 12 will be an introduction to birding led by Chris and Karen Bennett, who are expert birders. In addition to leading fieldtrips for the Delmarva Birding Weekends, Chris is a field trip leader for the Delmarva Ornithological Society. He is a member of the Delaware Bird Records Committee, compiler of the Milford Christmas Bird Count, and Regional Compiler for the Second Delaware Breeding Bird Atlas. He and Karen live near Milford.

September 19 will include a field trip with scopes and binoculars to Cape Henlopen State Park.
