A Celebration of Life for Paula Turek Simpson will be held on Thursday, October 14 at 3 pm at the Rehoboth Beach Yacht and Country Club. The service will be held outside, weather permitting, and will also be available by Zoom. On Sunday, October 3, Beebe Healthcare is sponsoring a Flu Vaccination Clinic at Epworth UMC after the 9 am service and before the 11 am service in Fellowship Hall.
Our annual Blessing of the Animals service will be held on Sunday, October 3, at 1:30 p.m. The service will be held under the Bayside Portico, facing Royal Farms. All animals are welcome, but must be accompanied by their owners. There will be a memorial table to remember all the loving and caring animals that have enriched our lives. Bring a picture, candle or remembrance of your loving pet to place on the table during the service. If you would like to bring a bag or can of dog/cat food we will donate to our local shelter.

Family Promise Event: A Night Without A Bed
Friday October 8 starting 4 pm at the Lewes City Park at the Overfalls, to raise awareness about families experiencing homelessness, spend a "Night Without A Bed", camping on the grounds by the Overfalls or sleeping in your car. Along with food and games, there will be presentations by the Board of Family Promise and by the Board of the Overfalls Foundation. Rain date is October 15th.
WAVE Youth Rally is ON - January 7-9, 2022 at the Roland E. Powell Convention Center Youth from both Peninsula-Delaware and Baltimore-Washington conferences met in July where they came up with a new name – WAVE – and a new logo! When 45 people can unanimously decide on a name, you know it’s God-inspired! It’s important to know that the event is still youth designed and driven, still held at the Ocean City Convention Center and still focused on connecting youth to Christ and one another in fun and powerful ways.

Flower Deliverers Needed
The Flower Delivery Ministry is in need of volunteers to help deliver flower arrangements one Monday a month. These arrangements are created by our Flower Design Ministry every Sunday by repurposing the Chancel flowers. They are then delivered each Monday to members who are shut-ins, residents in care facilities or others who could use some flowers to brighten their days. Seeking Volunteers to remove and transport dead interior plants
We are seeking volunteers to remove and transport dead interior plants to Delaware Solid Waste Authority in Harbeson, DE. Ideally, a truck would be required and the ability to lift heavy plants over 10 lbs. Also, we need volunteers with sharp scissors to trim the peace lilies in the Sanctuary. The Crucial Role of Caregiving
One of the most important jobs God calls us to is caregiving: loving others in God’s name. Our congregation’s Stephen Ministry is one way we accomplish God’s caring work. If you’re at a place where you feel ready to serve and bless others in this way, explore the possibility of Stephen Ministry by contacting the church office today to find out more about this ministry.
