Second Season Starts Sept. 13

"Faith, Hope & Stories" features conversations with people who are sowing the seeds of faith, hope and love in our community. They are people you may already know and people you don't know--yet. They have a calling, a purpose, a mission.

Here's the tentative schedule (episodes drop at 7 PM):

  • September 13 -Murray Archibald, Epworth's resident artist and co-founder of CAMP Rehoboth
  • September 20 - Joy Gordy-Stith, Epworth's youth minister, on raising children of faith
  • September 27 - Lee Ann Walling, author and host of Faith, Hope & Stories will be interviewed by Pastor Bo.
  • October 4 -Susie Hearn's story. After her daughter's sudden death, the Epworth member and her husband chose to raise their infant granddaughter, who is now 11. They moved here recently from Texas.
  • October 11 - The Rev. Dr. Robin Blair, a Methodist minister from New York who helps families navigate social media.
  • October 18 - Joe Lawson, executive director of the Southern Delaware Alliance for Racial Justice 
  • October 25 - Kevin Gilmore, executive director of Sussex County Habitat for Humanity
  • November 1 - Former Delaware Governor Jack Markell on election eve

"Faith, Hope & Stories" is the brainchild of Epworth member Lee Ann Walling, a former journalist, and the Rev. Dr. Bo Gordy-Stith, pastor of media and communications.

Lee Ann Walling, the producer, is a former newspaper and television journalist. She worked for media in Texas and Delaware before leaving journalism in 1992 to work for Ruth Ann Minner, who was running for lieutenant governor. She was elected governor in 2000, and Lee Ann was her senior adviser.

She retired from state government in 2013. She earned her Master of Fine Arts from Drexel University in 2024 and published her first novel, The Salt and Light Express, at age 69. Her second novel, The Next Right Thing, will be published in 2027.

She has been playing keyboards and synthesizer at Epworth since July 2021.
