Doug Yetter - Minister of Music

Doug Yetter has worn many hats over the course of his career. He began studying piano at the age of 4, organ at 14, and plays viola, cello, French horn, bassoon, clarinet, and banjo – in descending order of competency. Doug was co-founder and Artistic Director of the Clear Space Theatre Company for 10 years, having worked in theaters across the country as musical director, actor, composer, conductor, director, and producer. In addition to his work at Epworth he serves as Artistic Director of the CAMP Rehoboth Chorus.

A Denver native, he has lived in Las Vegas, St. Louis, Norfolk, Baltimore, and moved to Rehoboth Beach from Manhattan where he resides with his husband, Mark. Doug’s daughter, Nicole and husband Ian live in Seattle where Nicole coordinates the national supply chain for the bakery division of Starbucks. His son Zach owns a landscaping business here in Rehoboth Beach where he lives with his fiancée Emma.

Doug received his Bachelor of Arts in composition at the University of Maryland (Summa cum laude) and his Master of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre Writing from New York University.  He is a member of the Dramatists Guild of America, the American Federation of Musicians (Local 802), the American Guild of Organists, and the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP).
