Epiphany: Practicing Shalom (Jan. 9 – Feb. 27, 2022)
This new year, during epiphany, or the season of light, we focus on the practices that foster a community of shalom, or peace. As we look at various scriptures and practices, we recognize that the shalom of Christ is not something we do out of obligation or a sense of responsibility – shalom is our birthright as followers of Jesus Christ, the King of Peace. Shalom is the fruit of the salvation we experience in Christ. And like anything else, the more we practice, the better we get at recognizing, encouraging, and making possible shalom in every community of which we are a part.
Jan. 9 – Search Your Heart (Mark 7:14-21 – key verse – 21a) Understanding ourselves begins our journey to shalom.

Jan. 16 – Explore Your Emotions (Psalm 42 – key verse – 3) The Psalmist invites us to both experience and explore our emotions without losing sight of our hope in God.
